Tied For Highest Adoption Month! Second Lowest Intake Month!
We are hoping that November was a turning point for adoptions! We were still under our goal of 30 adoptions for November but we tied for the most of any month this year. We also had the second-lowest intake month of the year.
Other November Highlights
- We helped over 30 animals receive free or reduced cost spay/neuter surgeries through our voucher, TNR & public surgery programs!
- The Bloomfield Girl Scouts Troup 2065 set up a donation collection box at the Feed Store Beer Company to collect donations for the shelter and then the Girl Scouts brought the donations to us and volunteered on November 17th!
- PetsAlive temporarily suspended their vaccine clinics at the beginning of November due to staffing constraints but we have continued preparing their space and they are hoping to begin spay/neuter surgeries in early 2024!
- We kicked off our Pitiful Pet Portraits Fundraiser where for a $20 donation, we will use our lack of art skills to create a hand-drawn portrait of your pet! They make great Christmas gifts and can definitely be a conversation starter! Learn More!
- We were invited to the Brown County Music Center on November 18th to bring some of our animals on stage during the Chris Isaac concert while he promoted pet adoptions and the Bissell Pet Foundation Empty The Shelters event! We seen an uptick in applications and interest after!
- We had an increase in donations on GivingTuesday and were super thankful for everyone who donated as the continued donations make both caring for our animals and helping the public with spay/neuters, microchipping, food assistance and more all possible!
