At the Greene County Humane Society, we survive off the generosity of others. We typically invest more in each animal than we could ever possibly recover through adoption fees. We provide each animal with complete vetting including vaccinations and spay/neuter. We also must maintain our facilities as well as compensate our staff. Every donation made here will be put into our general fund to help care for our animals and provide them with safe shelter.

We have long provided a voucher program to help families in need receive spay & neuter assistance. We are also working on expanding our Trap/Neuter/Release (TNR) program to fix stray cats in our community. We spend thousands of dollars each year on vouchers to spay and neuter animals within Greene County and any support given here will be put towards expanding our efforts to fix all of the animals within our community to help eliminate the stray and unwanted animal population!

• Dog toys such as Kong toys that do not have cloth or rope.

• Liquid Bleach
• Paper Towels
• Liquid Laundry Soap – Preferably with odor eliminator
• Puppy Pads
• Towels, Wash Clothes, Blankets

Please note, while we try to put all types of pet food donated to good use, we prefer to use Purina brands for two main reasons. First, they have a good balance of nutrition for animals that are in kennels to maintain a healthy weight and energy level. Additionally, when we switch foods often, it can cause upset stomach, diarrhea, vomiting, etc and we want to ensure are animals are healthy and comfortable. We also typically use the Tidy Cats 24/7 Performance in the yellow pale with the red lid because it helps keep odor down and we’ve found some other litters, if not cleaned off well before washing litter pans and laundry cause clogs in our drains and washers.
