Waggin’ Tails Trail
Waggin’ Tails Trail
Nearly 1/2 Mile Wooded Trail – Open To The Public
Dogs Always Welcome
About Our Trail
Waggin’ Tails Trail is a nearly 1/2 mile long wooded looping trail that we have built and opened to the public. This trail allows us to exercise our adoptable animals, let the animals have a quaint and personal experience with potential adopters as well as for the public to bring their animals out to walk.
Follow Our Trail On Facebook
We have a Facebook page specifically for our trail and it’s unique features!
Location & Hours
Our trail entrance is on the north side of our building. When parking in our lot, you will be able to see our gazebo to the north of the building and will find the entrance next to it. For the full loop, stay right at each split in the trail.
Open 7 Days A Week – Sun Up to Sun Down
We ask that all animals remain on a leash and that you please pick up after yourself and your pets.
About The Trails Designer
Last September, full-time Humane Society employee Rick West, an avid outdoorsman and lover of all things four-legged, heard the call in his heart loud and clear.
“I was just looking at what was there and I saw some real potential for the land,” Rick said. “And I wanted to give the dogs at the shelter a break, a place where hound and human can relax and enjoy a natural setting. I wanted potential adopters to be able to see another side of the dog, a side that wasn’t confined to a cage.”
